This was a great bed. It fits nicely in a 12x12 room. My sons were happy to see their new bed, until son "A" had to use the ladder to get to the top bunk. He complained that that ladder dug into the soles of his feet and that it was a very painful climb. This ladder needs to be re-designed. My husband tried to climb the bed and said that it was indeed very painful on his feet. Great bed but horrible ladder.
