This product is described accurately. I have kids sharing a room (boy/girl-3 1/2 and almost 5 years) and they were ready to be out of toddler beds. I think standard bunkbeds or loftbeds are too high for young kids and can also interfere with ceiling fan. Standard twin beds take up the whole room. This product was perfect for what we needed; bigger beds, space in room, but age appropriate height of bed. They offer a white with pink drawers and a black with blue drawers, so i got one of each. They are tall enough to put other items under to save space for the room but not so tall they are dangerous. I put the first one together by myself. The instructions were clear and simple, but of course time consuming. The bed is sturdy, the drawers are sturdy and my kids LOVE them. A standard twin mattress fits nicely and are perfect height for tucking kids in as I am not croucing way down or trying to climb a ladder as with standard bunks/lofts. Great product.

Review : Not very imaginitive, difficult to build
I built this bed exactly per the plans. It is a very workable bed and my daughter is very happy with it. I bought all the materials for a twin size bed at Home Depot and spent a total of $150 for this bed including paint.
It took about 2 hours to cut all of the parts. It took about 4 hours to sand all the boards. I painted it with primer then gloss coat, total time aroudn 8 hours. Another 2 hours to assemble in the room. Total time about 16 hours to build which is 4 weekends for me.
The instructions are clear, but there need to be a lot more graphics or pictures. The only picture is the one you see on this website. The bed "creaks" a lot. The steps are too far apart, I would double them. After the amount of time I spent on this, the money, and the final product, I wish I would have spent about twice as much for a store bought unit.

Review : Rack Bed - Some obstacles but 4 year old daughter loves it!
To start off this bed comes in 3 packages. 2 of the packages came but the third was not delivered due to it being addressed incorrectly at the warehouse. With that being said Amazon created another order.............the only problem with this is they had to complete a re-order! So in addion to the 2 packages I already had I recieved 3 more ........... the 2 duplicates I have to return, which I have not done yet. But will soon because if they are not recieved by a certatin date my card with get another duplicate charge. Ok so the bed took my husband about 10 hours to put together (there were some breaks in between). The directions are not that user friendly which caused us to have to re-read several times to ensure we were putting the parts together correctly. One of the pieces (41 or 44)............that is cut out and goes up beside the ladder did not have the slot cut out correctly..........it was too small to fit over the other piece that it gets screwed into. My husband had to use...
