Review : Looks nice, could be better
Just received this bed last night. It took approximately 3 hours to assemble. The directions are fairly bad, with only pictures and no written instructions. It's very easy to miss a step. The pieces aren't labeled and are poorly described, so figuring out the difference between two similar pieces was a challenge. There were a few holes for barrel bolts that weren't drilled correctly or at all, so I had to re-drill them. Be careful when tightening the bolts, because it is easy to crack the wood on over tightening.

The headboard for the upper bed wins the award for most curvature of a supposedly straight piece of wood I've ever seen. The slats are warped, 2 of them in different directions. I found this very late in the build process, otherwise I would have returned it. I plan to have this side of the bed against the wall, so hopefully it won't be visible.

The wood seems solid and has a nice color, but the finish is easily scratched. I made one serious...
